HSW Hotswap battery output cable

The HSW Hotswap Battery Output Cable enables seamless hotswapping between two AUDIOROOT eSMART batteries when used with a smart power distributor such as the BG-DU or BG-DU-REG. It can also be used with other SMBus capable devices. Designed with field reliability in mind, this passive cable ensures uninterrupted power delivery—ideal for demanding on-location audio setups.

Key Features:

• Connects two eSMART batteries to a smart battery distribution system or device for hotswapping capability.

• Passive design—no active switching components for maximum reliability.

• 60 cm length (custom lengths available on request).

Important Notes:

• Due to the passive nature of the cable, the connected host can only display telemetry data from one battery at a time. The selected battery is determined by whichever responds first to SMBus master polling.

• The HSW cable is primarily designed for hotswapping. While simultaneous use of both batteries is possible, it may result in inconsistent telemetry readings.

• Load is handled by the battery with the highest voltage. As the voltages equalize during operation, the batteries naturally begin sharing the load 50/50.

• During load sharing, current and power readings on the BG-DU will display approximately half the actual values, but runtime estimation will remain accurate.
