The AUDIOROOT ABE is a compact smart battery eliminator designed to power devices that normally operate with smart batteries, using an alternative DC power source such as an AC/DC power supply, wall adapter, or even another external battery.
In addition to functioning as a power bridge, the ABE can also host a smart battery via its TA4M input connector, allowing you to use larger-capacity smart batteries to power equipment that typically accepts only small-format models like the Li-48neo or Li-49Wh.
Pin 1: (–)
Pin 2: SMBus Data*
Pin 3: SMBus Clock*
Pin 4: (+)
*Wiring of pins 2 and 3 is optional and only needed when using a smart battery.
The ABE features an integrated smart battery emulation circuit that allows basic battery information to be displayed on compatible eSMART current distributors, even when only a basic DC power supply is connected (i.e., without SMBus signals on pins 2 and 3).
eSMART BG-DH MKII
eSMART BG-DU
eSMART BG-DU-REG
eSMART K-ART
When used in emulation mode, the following parameters are displayed:
Voltage
Current
Power
Temperature
⚠️ Please note: Cycle count, capacity, and runtime values are generated arbitrarily in emulation mode.
Compact design identical in size to Li-48neo / Li-49Wh batteries
5-pin standard smart battery output connector (DC + SMBus clock/data)
TA4M input connector for external DC source or smart battery
Maximum recommended current: 5A
Recommended input voltage: 15V
Maximum input voltage: 18V
Integrated smart battery emulator for use with eSMART BG-DH MKII, BG-DU, BG-DU-REG, and K-ART
Dimensions: 88.0 x 78.0 x 22.7 mm
Weight: 67 g
Set the internal emulator switch to ON when using the ABE with an external DC source to power one of the compatible eSMART current distributors (BG-DH MKII, BG-DU, BG-DU-REG, or K-ART).
Set the switch to OFF when connecting a real SMBus-compatible battery via a 4-wire cable (power + clock/data).
The eSMART ABE is NOT compatible with the Cantar Mini.
